Public Speaking focuses on the basic elements of oral communication--content, organization, appropriate language, delivery, active listening--required to speak effectively when engaged in giving different types of presentations (extemporaneous, informative, and argumentative) on topics both related and unrelated to the field of agronomy. In addition to the formal presentations, you will have numerous opportunities to improve your speaking and listening abilities via classroom activities conducted in interpersonal, small group, and large group contexts that will simultaneously assist in the development of your cultural knowledge and sensitivity.
